NutriBullet NBR 1201 Review
Healthy eating means getting the most nutrients out of the food I prepare for my family. Cooking vegetables and peeling fruits before eating takes away some if not most of their nutrient value. The NutriBullet MBR-1201 makes getting all the “good” out of produce easy.
Smoothies – Lunch or Snack
One of the easiest and quickest ways for me to stay on track is with smoothies. There are so many variations that I never get tired of fixing them. This NutriBullet comes with 2 cups – one small – one large. I use the small one for a lunch smoothie since it’s usually just for me.
Here’s the making of a tasty smoothie:
- use a NutriBullet small cup
- start with a few leafy greens – ie: baby spinach or kale (even lettuce is good)
- add fresh fruit (frozen if not in season) with peel still on – ie: orange, pear or plum slices with some berries mixed in
- add a scoop of protein – I use Jay Rabb – whey vanilla protein powder
- add water to fill line
- top with ice and mix
Use the emulsifying blade for a smooth and tasty drink.
Chopped Vegetables – Good for Just About Everything
A bag of mixed fresh vegetables can easily be chopped using the flat blade and the large cup. I usually choose a mixture of carrots, cauliflower and broccoli – I get mine at Sam’s Club- to chop and add to a leafy green salad or cold pasta salad. The flat blade chops but doesn’t destroy the vegetables. I like the crunch in my salad and this speeds up the process instead of cutting up separate items. Leftovers store easily right in the cup – just put a lid on and refrigerate.
Cleanup is simple with the NutriBullet. Wash in warm sudsy water and dry completely.
This machine is compact and easy to clean and store. It comes with two blades and two sizes of cups with lids.
I have had my NutriBullet NBR 1201 for several years and it still looks like new. There are many beneficial ways to use this product and I have only shared a couple of them here. Leave me a comment to share how you use yours.
